Australian film industry
Van Diemans Land
The bottom photo is obviously not ment to be upside down, I have no idea how to change it. If you could just imagine that it was right side up that would be awesome. I'm so sorry about the inconveniance. i hope you can find pity in my computer retardness
I created this poster to inspire the public to not only see Australian made movies but recently produced Australian films aswell, it is ment to keep the public informed and kept up-dated on any recent up and coming Australian films.
The target audience would be film buffs and Australians. There wouldn't be any real significance in age or genre, it would solely depend on the film.
The film i have used to promote my text is an up and coming film "van diemen's land." It targets an older male audience (25 and over) as of its dark, gorish undertones.

Australian Film Industry Text

So! This would be my text promoting the Australian Film Industry...
The target audience for this text is extremely broad. Essentially, it includes anyone who is interested in film – from teenagers to the elderly – although I think the demographic more likely to be interested range from the ages of about 20-30.
If people could please take my survey it would be greatly appreciated.

elaina's postcard supporting the Australian Film Industry
postcard front

postcard back

The target audience would be those of an artistic, intellectual or cultural persuasion. I have chosen these films as they are not your stereotypical Baz-style Australian blockbusters, are critically acclaimed and received alot of media attention when they were released. I believe they all feature a shining Australian cast and represent milestones in the cinema of their decade.
The mock event was created for an adult audience to relish good Australian cinema, while supporting young, aspiring film makers with the sole purpose to promote the Australian Film Industry and all it has to offer. By showcasing some of the best, enveloping a movie marathon into an event that becomes a visual and physical treat.
I made my promotional text a postcard as it becomes easily assessable to anyone. it can easily be picked up from a cafe or bookshop.
The image I chose represents the classic film noir style of 1940s-50s cinema and i think it is a quirky, eye-catching and classic image, reflecting the ideas behind the films and event.

to re draft the promotional text after feedback. i have decided to not make any changes from what i received from my personal feedback, one criticism i received was that the movies could have been stronger however i stated why i choose the films i did in the mini report once again i chose these Movies as they are not your usual Baz Style blockbusters that, became commercial. The feedback i received about the image selection and style of event was all positive, and most of those who took my survey complimented me on the idea and my choice in how to portray the event.
gaining feedback was interesting as i helped me broaden my ideas about the what a promotional text should be.

Kathleen's Text.
This is my text, for Viva La Gong:

Click Here to take my survey
I percieved the target audience to be mainly young families. This is due to some of the activities, e.g. craft activities. However, after looking through their website and pther publications, I could couldn't see any indication that it was age or gender inclined.
However, the festival seemed to be almost like a bigger version of a traditional town fair, which would indicate the demographic to be mostly white people. I also believe that females would be the majority of attendants. This is why I made my poster bright - so that it seemed netrual, but would appeal to women more.

Support The Australian Movie Industry

This is the poster I created to promote the Australian movie industry. I think the poster would appeal to the general public and in particular people who love the movies. I think that the colours and layout would appeal to young people but also those who have a young outlook. The movies on the border are to make people think "Hey, I haven't seen Muriel's Wedding since it came out. I might rent it next time I have a move night at home."

Carrie-Anne's Text

Mad Max
Audience
The target audience would be movie lovers, Australians, people who are interested in The Australian Film Industry, and Mad Max fans.
Because of the genre of the Mad Max movies, I would expect that the main audience would be male, and the age would vary due to the large following from the previous Mad Max movies, it would appeal to all ages.
